heading of this site-Research Group on Rehabilitation and Independent Living--About us

Individuals who are interested in becoming part of this group at the graduate level should apply to the Applied Behavioral Science (formerly Human Development and Family Life) Graduate Program and state your interest in coming to the University of Kansas as a graduate student.

Most graduate students involved in the Research Group on Rehabilitation and Independent Living are working toward doctoral degrees. Interested individuals are welcome to apply to the ABS program and indicate their interest in this research group (http://www.ku.edu/~absc/). People with disabilities who are interested in education at the doctoral level are especially encouraged to apply.

The staff and participants of this research program are fully committed to the philosophy of independent living and support affirmative recruitment and accommodation of people with disabilities.

The Research Group on Rehabilitation and Independent Living also works closely with the Research and Training Center on Independent Living, at the University of Kansas, on funded research and training projects.

No matter the type of research project, research group members are considered as junior colleagues and receive helpful assistance and mentoring from senior colleagues who are directly involved in overseeing project activities.
